Pedicab to Taxicab Initiative
Pedicab to taxicab is a new initiative working to help reduce customer wait time for taxi cabs and overall traffic congestion in the downtown Austin area during peak hours. With this program Greencabbies.com affiliated pedicab drivers bring customers to areas on the outskirts of downtown reducing the customer's wait time for a taxicab while concurrently eliminating the need for taxicabs to enter the downtown area. This reduces overall traffic congestion and prevents the taxi cab driver from having to spend time and use gasoline searching for clients in the congested downtown area. Also, after entering the cab, customers will not have to wait in traffic, as the taxi cab will be picking passengers up at one of three various meeting points allowing for easy access to major travel arteries headed in all directions from the city center.
